Hempstead ISD is announcing its participation in the Seamless Summer Option Program (SSO), offered by the Texas Department of Agriculture. The SSO program provides nutritious meals to children in the local community during the summer when schools are closed and the National School Lunch and Breakfast Program are not in operation.
Any child from ages 0-18 are eligible to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost. Individuals age 19 and above, who have been determined to be mentally or physically disabled by a state or local agency, may also be served a meal.
The SSO will offer meals at the Hempstead Elementary School Cafeteria and the Hempstead High School/Middle School Cafeteria (Bobcat Den)
Meals will be offered Monday through Thursday from June 1, 2022 through June 30, 2022. Breakfast will be served 8:30am-9:30am & Lunch will be served 12:30pm-1:30pm
