2nd Grade Teacher
I graduated from Cy-Fair Senior High. I adopted my step daughter, she was 14 at this time. When she was ready to go to college, I started back as well. I graduated college from Texas A&M University Commerce.
I currently have a Bachelors degree from Texas A & M University in Commerce, Texas. After this is when I decided to become a teacher, I obtained my teachers certification from Texas Teachers in June 2017. Recently I have decided to go back to college to get my Masters in Education Administration.
I started teaching at Hempstead Elementary 2017-2018 school year. Prior to this I was a long term substitute and an academic tutor in Waller Independent School District. I have taught 2nd grade in the past and currently will be teaching 2nd grade as well. Our 2nd grade classrooms are self contained so that means I will be teaching all subjects; Reading, Writing, Math, Science and Social Studies.
Previously I was a long term substitute and an academic tutor in Waller Independent School District.
I am married to my husband of 9 years, we have four children and two grandchildren between us. They are all out of school but graduated from Waller High School. My daughter graduated from Baylor University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing and is currently working at Memorial Herman in the renowned Houston Medical Center. I currently have two horses that are barrel racing horses, this is a sport that I have loved since a young girl. We also have numerous other animals, cows, a goat, chickens, dogs and cats and of course my donkey.
When I am not teaching, working in my classroom or on items for my students you will find me in the barn. I spend a lot of my extra time with my horses.
